Doug Ballor, a retired scientist, lives with his wife Liz (another retired scientist) in Tucson Estates II near Saguaro National Park West. Both are avid outdoor enthusiasts who have hiked all over the world including Argentina, Austria, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, France, Greece, India, Laos, Lesotho, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Swaziland, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam.

Tucson Mountain Park is literally right out our backdoor. There are a number of outstanding hikes in the park that compare favorably with hikes in adjacent Saguaro National Park. Compared to the National Park, access is free, parking easily available and the trails are lightly traveled. If you live in Tucson Estates (like us), you can walk to the trails.
